We provide a variety of services in direct response to the needs of older people in the county. These include:
Telephone us or call in or make an appointment for free, confidential information and advice on all topics of interest to older people, their carers and families. We also offer free welfare benefit checks, help with form filling and home visits for those who are unable to reach the offices.
Mostly money Matters - Advocacy Service
Contact us for free, practical help with money and other matters to help maintain independence.
Become a member of one of our lunch clubs, held through out the county, for good food and company.
Supervised home cleaners provide this service at a reasonable cost. Contact us to arrange a visit from the Home Cleaning staff, who will visit you at home to agree your requirements.
Improve and maintain mobility and independence through regular exercise from fully trained instructor. Falls prevention advice and strategies to help maintain independence.
Dial A Ride
For people with a disability, which prevents them using public transport, this limited
service provides door to door transport. This is run in partnership with Ceredigion Social Service and covers only the Aberystwytharea. Contact us for more information.
Easy Shopping
If you are having difficulty getting to the supermarket or need help doing your shopping, contact us to see if we can help.
If you know of someone who is housebound, with little or no family around and who would like a visit and regular chat with one of our volunteers, do contact us.
This free service is available where we have volunteers, particularly in the Cardigan and Aberystwyth areas.

Learn how to surf the net and keep in touch with family by e-mail. Classes are available in some areas.
In some parts of the county we are able to organise trips to theatre, cinema and outings, such as Christmas shopping.
Community Buddies
Community Buddies are volunteers in the community who are a source of information about the services provided by Age Concern Ceredigion. If you would like to be a community buddy for your area please contact us.
This project is a joint initiative between Ceredigion and Mid Wales National Health Service Trust and Age Concern Ceredigion. Clinics are held in; Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Lampeter, and details of clinic opening times are given on the web page.
